When we ask for help
When the skys give rain

Whether we are aware of it or not we are all chasing the spirit. There are times that things are not what they seem. Things that can’t be explained by science or logic, it’s these situations that lend themselves to believeing there is something more to this life than meets the eye. Miraculous healings, amazing feats of strength when needed. Fortelling with a hunch or intuition about a place or event. Dreams are said to be uncounscious; then why do they seem real and why can’t we hold on to them? These are the things the poem is asking us to think about. Read the poem again for more insights. I hear calling and run to the door
but there is no one there

I hear beautiful singing but when I try to understand the words
The song disappears

I feel breezes blowing through me
but I can’t hold on to them

I see faces in the clouds but when I try to speak to them
They turn into clouds again

I smell the fresh scent of a just picked flower
Once picked the scent is soon gone

I see the curtain open to my worldly play
but the actors are all me

I close my eyes to sleep and dream
but when I awaken I have forgotten
