Watching the river

I sit silently by the river
The river of time
I have watched you
Days months seasons years
I have seen you struggle
I watched again as you cried
I watched you lose
I watched you win
I watched you build your house with
imperfect brick
I watched the doors when they open for you
I watched you close those same doors
Now dying in your bed you look and ask
Have you been here long
And I watch you die
I sit silently by the river
Watching

"There will come a day" Poem

There will come a day, that phrase in itself holds a lot of meaning. The underlying theme in the poem is introspection. There will come a day “When your sun rises” is a metaphor for hope. Also the line “When you see things differently” means you have changed you look at things from a different point of view; you are evolving. “All your wars have been fought” these wars whether internal or external are finished now you can be at peace since this is the opposite of war. ” When you embrace the dark as well as the light” or as a zen saying goes “Invite your anger to tea” we need the contrast of both to be wholly honest with ourselves and others. “When you can come home” is another metaphor for becomming whole or balanced and at peace with one’s self and others.

There will come a day

There will come a day
When your sun rises

There will come a day
When you remember the sky

There will come a day
When you hold your hand out

There will come a day
When you find your smile

There will come a day
When you see things differently

There will come a day
When you embrace the dark as well as the light

There will come a day
When all your wars have been fought

There will come a day
When you can come home

The day is here

The poem "A Better Day"

The poem originated as I contemplated what makes a better day. When desires are not means we are contented. One of the best lines of the poem “When love remembers us” is a blissful statement that love is the most important and powerful energy in the universe. Of course another insight into ancient wisdom is the line “When we lose our head and find our heart”, this line refers to the “Monkey Mind” of the ego that calculates everything and block the free flow of ideas. I hope you all have a “Better Day”.

A Better Day

When we feel no pain
When desires are not
When love remembers us
When we help others
When we ask for help
When the skys give rain
When time is forgotten
When the taste of life is sweet
When we greet strangers with a smile
When we lose our head and find our heart

The Poem "Chasing the Spirit"

Whether we are aware of it or not we are all chasing the spirit. There are times that things are not what they seem. Things that can’t be explained by science or logic, it’s these situations that lend themselves to believeing there is something more to this life than meets the eye. Miraculous healings, amazing feats of strength when needed. Fortelling with a hunch or intuition about a place or event. Dreams are said to be uncounscious; then why do they seem real and why can’t we hold on to them? These are the things the poem is asking us to think about. Read the poem again for more insights. Chasing the Spirit

I hear calling and run to the door
but there is no one there

I hear beautiful singing but when I try to understand the words
The song disappears

I feel breezes blowing through me
but I can’t hold on to them

I see faces in the clouds but when I try to speak to them
They turn into clouds again

I smell the fresh scent of a just picked flower
Once picked the scent is soon gone

I see the curtain open to my worldly play
but the actors are all me

I close my eyes to sleep and dream
but when I awaken I have forgotten

Poem called "Nothing"

This poem came from a place of nothing. No thing or non-material space where thoughts live.
The meaning behind the poem is deeper than appears on the surface. Because everything is also nothing in the quantum world. An atom is 99.9% nothing and atoms make up everything. So you see from what we have learned so far scientifically nothing is everything. Now go back and read the poem again. And find the clue. I challenge you! Nothing

There is nothing to write

Nothing to wrong

There is nothing to sing
we have forgotten the song

There is nothing to say

There is nothing to do

Losing the mind find the clue

There is nothing to see

There is nothing to feel

Nothing to have
and nothing to steal

There is nothing at all

Nothing
is all
